Please can I keep it? I will take care of it. I promise to feed it and walk it everyday, and keep it out of trouble.
Oh, I know where he’s been. He’s been hanging out in the preschool lost and found for the last two weeks, unclaimed.
He seemed so lonely when all the children went home and summer break began. Somehow he got into my workbag and came home with me.
He’s a rare breed called a “Monster Bug.” His fur is noticeably soft and his smile is contagious. How could someone be so careless as to lose this poor little monster bug?
I promise he’ll be safe under my watch. I’m sure he’ll keep me company this summer.
What should I name him? This big decision is making me buggy.

I’m no good at names… But he sure is cute! 😀
Goobs.
Nuff said.
Time to relax now?

btw- nice lilacs!
Unimaginative as it may be I think sticking with bug works best for me. That is what he is and that is what I think when I look at those Buggy eyes too.
I hope you have better inspiration than me.
what a cutie.. can’t you just call him Monster Bug?
Daisy
He looks like a Mr. Buggy to me!
Okay, what am I missing? I don’t see a picture or anything.
His smile matches the one in your sunshine’s face in your last post “Melting…” so I think he should be “Sunny Bug” or “Mr. Sunshine” – he IS such a brite charactor.
I used to come home during the breaks with all kinds of ‘loved’ stuff like that every semester. I will probably run across some of them still in ‘teacher’ boxes that i am cleaning out of my office currently to create my dream ‘writing room’. If I do, I think i’ll make a collection box of just them and display them from my ‘teacher’ days! Enjoy your summer downtime; but if you start to miss the Pre-K gang, go to the library storytime and take your little bug friend. I’ll bet it will be just the ‘shot’ of kid love you need to tide you over. Talula
